Nella Alão

Nella Alao is a contemporary artist, who started painting oil on canvas in 1996 as a self-taught artist. She has been exhibiting in Portugal, UK and Ireland and she has collectors around the world inclusive the most distant  like USA, Kuwait , Australia and Japan. 

 

Originally from Lisbon and living in London since 2008, traveling to a few different places around the world, coupled with her memories from Portugal, makes her inspiration to paint mountains, lakes, seas, sky, beaches, moors, also she loves deserts, anything in nature.

She is a very passionate about nature, the light, colours, texture, and movement. Her dreams is to travel around the world and paint every vibrating composition of nature.

 

Nella believes in energy, healing, and spiritual connection, so her paintings are transmissions of her passion and energy. She mostly creates art in a positive emotion, offering tranquility, relaxation, peace, and healing, however her Abstract Style is more energetic, vibrating, and full of movement and contrast. Her paintings are mainly in Impressionist or Abstract Style. Painting in Plein Air, using a photography or her intuition bringing her memories from places her traveled and she was delighted. The medium she mostly uses is oil or watercolour.
