Even a cloudy day can be beautiful. Dramatic clouds loom over verdant fields and sunlight shines intermittently, while shadow intensifies over a sea of green. The landscape takes a more solemn, perhaps melancholic atmosphere, and blooms when sunlight eventually emerges.
 
This painting was inspired by the beautiful county of East Sussex where I live, with its intensely dramatic yet relaxing environments.
